The School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS) is seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Language and Academic Skills for Mathematics who will contribute to the delivery of a transnational education joint program in Beijing, China.
This Teaching and Scholarship post requires the postholder to develop and deliver teaching, engage in pedagogical work and contribute to the administration of the joint program. This post is based in London, and the postholder will be required to travel to China to deliver teaching, as allocated by the Director of the joint programme. The postholder will be required to travel to China to deliver teaching for periods of approximately 4-8 weeks, with 3-6 trips being expected.
About You
We are looking for an individual to contribute to the intellectual life of the transnational joint programme, SMS and the wider institution. Having excellent subject knowledge and teaching experience, you should be able to design, develop and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in the subject area of language and academic skills for mathematics.
You should have clear and ambitious plans for pedagogical activities that aim at achieving excellence in student experience and education, both in and beyond the classroom, and have the ambition to influence the education landscape and create world-wide impact with your pedagogical work.
