The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident Sales and Customer Services Assistant to provide sales and customer support to the Books and Journals Division. The role will assist in delivering institutional sales campaigns and market research. This role reports directly to the Institutional Key Account Manager

What will you be doing?
Bristol University Press launched its eBook and Journal platform, Bristol University Press Digital (BUPD) in January 2022. BUPD is key to the growth in our digital sales and this role will be instrumental in increasing our sales outreach and maintaining our high level of customer service.
You will be the first point of contact for sales and customer queries, handling day-to-day sales-related enquiries from institutions, libraries, sales representatives, agents, and authors.
You will be busy supporting the sales team with ongoing customer service queries from books, eBook and journal customers and updating sales, customer, and marketing collateral, such as FAQs, documentation, and user guides.
There are many opportunities in the role to bring creative ideas to build sales and marketing campaign plans and help develop the BUP brand across international institutions.

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities. Independence and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines, and accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.
Experience of working in a customer service administrative role in a busy office environment is essential, and ideally, you will have some knowledge of publishing processes for books or journals.
