About The Role

This fixed term six-month role working full-time presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing the dynamic academic portfolio of the University. This is a varied and impactful position at the heart of portfolio development, where you will contribute to the creation, enhancement and implementation of innovative programmes and partnerships that support institutional priorities and student success.

As Portfolio Development Officer, you will be central to managing the programme development pipeline, ensuring new initiatives are delivered efficiently, to a high standard, and aligned with strategic and financial objectives. Working across faculties and professional services, you will collaborate with academic staff, senior colleagues and external partners, influencing decisions and helping to bring new programme and collaborative partnership ideas to fruition.

The role offers significant scope to engage strategically, from contributing to education policy development and supporting quality assurance and enhancement processes, to representing Education Services on committees and driving improvements in systems and workflows. You will also play a key role in analysing and managing programme data to inform decisions, supporting planning, reporting and continuous enhancement across the academic programme portfolio.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
