We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join the University of Cambridge as an HR & Organisational Change Advisor, supporting the Department of Veterinary Medicine through a significant organisational change programme.

About the role 

Working closely with managers and senior leaders, you will provide expert HR advice and support across a wide range of people matters, with a particular focus on organisational change, workforce transformation and employee relations.

You will support consultation processes, workforce planning, organisational redesign and change initiatives, while helping to build leadership capability and ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the change programme. 

What you will be doing 

  • Supporting organisational change and workforce transformation projects, including restructures, redeployments and service redesign.
  • Advising managers on employee relations matters, employment law and HR best practice.
  • Preparing consultation documentation, business cases and workforce impact assessments.
  • Working closely with trade unions, staff representatives and senior stakeholders.
  • Delivering organisational development initiatives and supporting leadership capability.
  • Contributing to HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement activity. 

We are looking for someone who has 

  • Experience supporting organisational change within a large or complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of employment law, employee relations and change management principles.
  • Experience working with trade unions and managing complex consultations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
