We are seeking an exceptional individual with a passion for excellent technical service support in a creative design environment, to join the School of the Arts (SOTA) Technical Services Team. You will contribute to enhancing technical support in our specialist facilities to support architectural education.
The ideal candidate will have a can-do, friendly and courteous disposition, able to embrace change, applying a flexible and creative approach in supporting our varied working practices. You will be a member of a team of technicians and supervise junior members of the team, supporting staff and students by assisting in their use of creative workshops and print technology for learning and teaching, research and professional activities.
This includes, but is not limited to, working in and providing support to our students and staff using the specialist printing and digital design to support creative design practices to support architectural education. You should have a BTEC/HND National Level (or equivalent), NVQ Level 5 or higher in related discipline or relevant work experience.
The Technical Team are also members of the School Safety Team and you will play a key role in support H&S arrangements both in the workshops and studios and more generally across the School.
