About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Joint Programme Administrator to support the delivery of two new dual degree programmes launching in 2026/27. Delivered in partnership between the School of Mathematical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London (QM) and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), this role will be based at QM’s Mile End campus with occasional travel to UIBE’s campus in Beijing.
This is a pivotal role supporting a new Transnational Education (TNE) partnership between two leading institutions. It offers an exciting opportunity to help establish the partnership’s operations, building on QM’s existing TNE expertise while developing processes for this new collaboration.
Initially, the role will support all operational aspects of the partnership, including education administration (assessment, exam boards, mark entry, student records and the VLE) and operational support (travel, procurement and finance). As the partnership grows, the role will develop into a more specialised position within an expanding professional services team.
About You
We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Education administrator with experience providing programme support to students and academics within a faculty or school setting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable and keen to improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a partnership and/or TNE setting would be advantageous but is not essential, and we welcome applications from candidates without this experience.
About TNE in the Faculty of Science and Engineering
The Faculty has led Sino-British collaboration through successful dual award degree programmes with partners including Nanchang University (NCU), Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). We pioneered the Flying Faculty model in China in 2004, becoming the first international university to receive approval from the Chinese Ministry of Education.
For over 20 years, the Faculty has delivered successful TNE programmes and now operates three Joint Programmes and four Joint Education Institutions with more than 5,000 enrolled students. With further expansion planned over the next five years, this is an exciting time to join the team.
