About the role
The Bodleian Libraries are seeking two Porter/Services Drivers to join the Facilities Team based at Osney One. You will support the smooth operation of library services across the University by driving library vehicles, including book delivery services, transporting goods and passengers, and assisting with mail distribution.
You will also help maintain the safety, security and presentation of library buildings through activities such as locking and unlocking premises, setting alarms, carrying out basic maintenance tasks, setting up rooms for events and meetings, and assisting with furniture and equipment moves. The role requires a professional, customer-focused approach and involves regular interaction with colleagues and library users.
This is a full-time post, working 36.5 hours per week.
About You
You will hold a current driving licence and have experience driving in a city environment. You will have experience in a customer-facing role and be confident communicating with a wide range of people. You will be a reliable team player who can work independently when required and adapt to changing priorities.
You will be comfortable undertaking manual handling tasks and maintaining accurate records, with basic IT skills including Microsoft Office and email. Experience of driving delivery vehicles or passenger vehicles would be advantageous.
