This role presents a fantastic opportunity to shape multidiscipline Aerospace Engineering education. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and leading cutting-edge modules in the Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies, providing mentorship to other staff, students, and contributing to research initiatives and external collaborations. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong academic background and expertise in flight dynamics and control, flight mechanics, as well as a broad understanding of aircraft design process. Extensive industrial experience or experience of working closely with industry, and expertise in AI-related applications are highly desirable.
Furthermore, individuals with a research-oriented mind-set will have the opportunity to explore their passions in Aerospace and Aviation, contributing to scholarly activities. About you
We require candidates that have a diverse skill set and is well-versed or can evidence strong expertise and experience in aircraft flight dynamics and control, as well as guiding students through the core concepts of Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies. We highly value candidates who have a background and knowledge that can help develop our aspiring student engineers.
Candidates should have, or near completion of, postgraduate qualification in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline. If from a professional practice/industry background, successful applicants will have a qualification equivalent to degree level (or above) together with relevant professional experience within the Aerospace and Aviation sector. A teaching qualification and experience of teaching in higher education is advantageous.

This is a permanent post and is full-time working on a 100% contract.

This role is campus based with some opportunity for remote/home working.
