About this role
We are transforming our Coaching Service to provide earlier, more proactive support for students, helping them stay engaged, progress successfully, and achieve their future goals. As Student Engagement and Progress Manager, you will play a key role in leading this change, managing a team of Student Experience Coaches and helping to embed a consistent, strength-based approach across the University.
Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you will use insight and data to identify where support can have the greatest impact, develop innovative interventions and drive improvements in student outcomes.
This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal moment, influence the future direction of student support, and make a visible difference to the student experience.
About you
You are an experienced people leader with a passion for helping others achieve their potential. You have a track record of leading and developing teams, delivering high-quality services and driving continuous improvement within a complex organisation.

You communicate with credibility and influence, are comfortable managing competing priorities, and can work collaboratively across organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals. You are equally at ease contributing to strategic discussions as you are supporting your team to deliver excellent day-to-day outcomes.
Most importantly, you are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students and colleagues can thrive.
