Social Media Executive

Are you an outward-facing, trend aware social media specialist who knows how to engage audiences? We are seeking a Social Media Executive to join our dynamic marketing team.

You’ll support the management, optimisation, and growth of our core social media channels, engaging a diverse global audience that includes current and prospective students, staff, academics, funders, and policymakers.

Working alongside a talented, dedicated in-house creative team that delivers high-quality assets, your focus will be on content distribution, fostering vibrant digital communities, and analysing performance to maximise reach. You will also act as a champion for best practices, aligning social media activity across the wider university network. In return, you’ll collaborate with some of the most inspiring students and academics to showcase our institutional impact.

We are seeking candidates with relevant experience, as well as passion and enthusiasm for social media. As this role involves managing multiple projects, you will also need to be highly organised with excellent communication skills.

As part of the Marketing team, you’ll contribute to our vision to position the University of Sheffield as a global leader. You’ll work with a range of marketing professionals including advertising, content, creative services and campaigns.
