Housekeeping Porter

Working as part of the busy Housekeeping team to deliver a professional Housekeeping Porter service to our College community, all the time following relevant H&S requirements and College processes.

This post would suit someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Housekeeping Porter
• Is able to move and lift heavy items in line with risk assessments after training
• Has experience in a public/customer facing position, with excellent customer service skills including the ability to be proactive, using own initiative and problem solve.
• Is a good communicator, with a helpful and friendly approach
• Demonstrates an ability to identify problems and develop and implement solutions

Working arrangements and salary

This is a 6-month fixed term contract (subject to a 3-month probation period). 

Competitive salary range of £14.00 per hour.

Hours of work are between 5 and 6 hours per day, working the afternoon shift starting at either 11.00 am or 12.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Flexibility is essential and some weekend work will be required throughout the year.
