Clinical Teacher in Oral Surgery

We are seeking to appoint an experienced clinician with substantial experience in surgical tooth removal, minor oral surgery and the management of acute dental presentations.

This post would be ideally suited to oral surgeons or experienced dental practitioners with an interest in undergraduate dental education and clinical supervision.

The role will primarily support learning and teaching within the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) undergraduate programme, particularly in exodontia, minor oral surgery and acute dental care. There may also be opportunities to contribute to postgraduate teaching for appropriately qualified registered specialists.

We are seeking to appoint to a minimum commitment of two sessions per week and a maximum of six sessions per week.

You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of clinical governance activities, staff development, participation in the University Staff Review and Development Scheme (SRDS), and wider educational activities as appropriate. An appropriate honorary clinical contract will be requested from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
