An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator in our PGR Service to provide outstanding professional services to support students, academic staff and other stakeholders related to the University’s network of Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs), which are large-scale PhD programmes funded by UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) and other major funders in postgraduate research training.

Working within the PGR Service’s dedicated Doctoral Training Partnerships Team, you will contribute to the provision of an efficient, proactive and high-quality professional service to support and coordinate all aspects of the delivery and operation of the partnerships, including administrating studentship selection competitions and coordinating training events.

You will have recent experience of working in a similar professional service role, as well as excellent customer service skills. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced and varied environment.

This full-time post is available from 8 September 2026 on a fixed-term basis as maternity cover for up to 12 months. A secondment will be considered, and applicants should please ensure that a secondment will be possible with their Line Manager/Head of Department, before submitting a formal application.
