This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced make-up artist to share their expertise and inspire the next generation of make-up artists.

As our Specialist Technician (Learning and Teaching) – Make Up, you will work closely with students as they experiment, build confidence and develop their own creative voice. You will introduce them to specialist techniques, help them overcome technical challenges and support them in turning imaginative concepts into accomplished work.

You will be joining a collaborative community where your industry experience will be valued, your ideas will be welcomed, and your expertise will have a visible impact every day. You will use your practical knowledge of make-up design and application to deliver engaging demonstrations, workshops and individual support across fashion media, performance and beauty contexts.

Whether you are explaining a specialist process, helping a student refine a concept or finding a solution to a complex creative challenge, you will create an encouraging environment in which students feel confident to ask questions, take creative risks and develop their skills. You will also help shape the wider learning experience by contributing to curriculum development, teaching resources, exhibitions, events and research activity.

About you
You are likely to be an established make-up artist with experience in the fashion and beauty industries and a BA, MA or equivalent professional expertise in make-up design and application.

You will also have experience of teaching, demonstrating or coaching technical application processes within fashion media, performance or beauty settings.

More importantly, you will be someone who enjoys helping others grow. You will be able to communicate complex techniques in a clear and approachable way, adapt your support to different levels of experience and offer constructive feedback that motivates students and moves their work forward.
