This post will contribute to the future direction and curriculum of our Games awards and will have a role in developing and delivering innovative teaching.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the games industry and professional experience in games development pipelines and expert knowledge of C++, C++ for Unreal Engine, and/or GDScript. You will have proven skills in games design, gameplay programming, and advanced programming principles in the application of games development. Having Unreal Authorised Instructor status or a commitment to gaining UAI status would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be an excellent teacher who puts inclusivity at the heart of their practice. You will be an advocate for your discipline, promoting the courses to prospective students and teachers, both at home and internationally. You will have the ability to work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, bringing diverse voices into our student experience and ensuring the support we give our students is culturally competent. You will have the ambition to equip students with the social and cultural capital that will allow them to confidently grasp graduate-level opportunities and challenges. You will be a strong team player able to demonstrate excellent skills in communication, organisation and management.

The appointment will be made at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. 

No less than 35 hours per week for 52 weeks per year 

Salary: Lecturer £38,784 to £46,049 per annum. Senior Lecturer £47,389 to £56,535 per annum.
