This post is based within the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN), one of the largest Schools within the University of Aberdeen, comprising over 800 staff across five institutes and a substantial portfolio of teaching, research and external engagement activities.

The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Head of School and work closely with the School Registrar and senior leadership team to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the School. Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, the role is central to supporting the leadership, governance and strategic activities of the School.

The School Administrator provides high-level executive and administrative support to the Head of School to enable the effective leadership and management of the School. The postholder is responsible for managing the administrative operations of the Head of School's office, coordinating complex schedules and meetings, supporting governance and committee activity, and ensuring effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Working independently and exercising considerable discretion, judgement and initiative, the postholder will manage a varied workload, respond to changing priorities and handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally. The role contributes significantly to the effective operation of the School and the delivery of its strategic objectives.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 scale, 50% of £33,002 - £36,636 per annum, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
