The role
Within our multi-award-winning team at the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, we have a vacancy for a Level 1 Specialist Technician (Teaching) to support the growth and development of the Centre’s technical support function. It is an exciting time to join the Centre as we look to develop and deliver new programmes, as well as preparing to move to our new facilities at the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus.
You will join a team of technical services, working closely across academic and professional services teams to support undergraduate and postgraduate taught students in gaining core prototyping skills through practical workshops delivered both in and outside of the curriculum, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of the new Maker Space in Temple Quarter. The role will also work with the team on the implementation of the operating model for the new space and in time, support the development of our offering in line with the strategic aims of the Centre.
The role will be based in Temple Quarter from September 2026.

Shift pattern: Usually Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Some teaching requirement until 6pm during term time.
