Derby College Group (DCG) are hiring a Teacher of Psychology on a maternity cover basis. Based at the Joseph Wright Centre you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting students to achieve their full potential in a dynamic and inclusive college environment.
The Opportunity
You’ll deliver high-quality, engaging Psychology teaching that motivates students to achieve and progress from their starting points. Working flexibly across a range of delivery modes, you will create stimulating resources, embed ILT, and support both academic and personal development. You will track progress closely, provide effective feedback, and promote high expectations, equality, and student wellbeing, contributing to strong retention, achievement, and positive progression outcomes.

About You
You’ll bring strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and use IT systems confidently, including MS Office. You’ll have recent experience delivering A-Level and/or BTEC Psychology and a proven track record of driving student achievement. A relevant degree and teaching qualification are essential, alongside Level 2 English and Maths. You will be adaptable, knowledgeable across Psychology topics, and committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
