About the Role
The Department of Accounting and Financial Management is seeking a Research Assistant to support the research project "Corporate AI Governance."

Working under the supervision of Dr Zezeng Li, you will assist with the collection, organisation and analysis of publicly available corporate AI governance disclosures. The role includes identifying AI ethics policies, responsible AI frameworks and related corporate governance documents, maintaining a structured research database, and supporting the review and classification of AI governance practices. You will also contribute to literature reviews and research summaries, helping to develop one of the first systematic datasets on corporate AI governance in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to gain research experience in AI governance, business ethics and corporate disclosure.

About You

An interest in AI governance, responsible AI, business ethics, corporate governance or public policy is essential. Experience of literature reviews, collecting information from publicly available sources, organising research data or maintaining databases is desirable. Strong written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word), and the ability to prioritise work while maintaining accuracy are essential.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Department of Accounting and Financial Management, within Queen Mary University of London's School of Business and Management, is recognised internationally for excellence in research and research-led teaching.

This project investigates how organisations develop and disclose governance mechanisms for the ethical use of artificial intelligence. It will identify and analyse publicly available AI governance documents and establish one of the first comprehensive databases of corporate AI governance practices in the UK. The findings will contribute to research on responsible AI, corporate governance, corporate disclosure and AI ethics, while providing insights for businesses, regulators and policymakers.
