About the role
At a pivotal moment for population health, data science and health-services research, the post holder will provide academic leadership in population health. Specifically, this post will primarily lead and develop the new BSc in Population Health and Data Science which is being jointly designed and delivered with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). The post holder will be employed by King’s College London, funded jointly by LSHTM where they will have an honorary affiliation. The post holder is expected to work equally across the central London campuses of each institution.
As programme lead for the BSc Population Health and Data Science, drawing on the academic and world-leading research strengths of both institutions, they will lead and co-ordinate the design and implementation of a research-informed cutting-edge curriculum, from inception to launch. They will champion inclusive digital pedagogy, and provide excellent pastoral support for the students and contributing educators. The post holder will be responsible for making programme inspiring, giving future public health leaders and evidence based practitioners the skills and knowledge to flourish.
As the degree programme is established the post holder will additionally develop an internationally excellent, impactful research programme in their field of interest. This post is on the Education & Research academic pathway, which has well-defined expectations to support the post holder’s academic contributions across the key domains of Education, Research, Innovation, Impact & Knowledge Exchange and Academic Leadership & Citizenship.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
