The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) is a multidisciplinary research and teaching department at the University of Oxford, dedicated to exploring the implications of emerging technologies for how people live, work and govern.

Dr Ekaterina Hertog is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support a quantitative component of the research project on Digital Lives of Care-Experienced Children in the UK.

The RA will play a central role in identifying relevant variables across survey waves and supporting the construction of analytical datasets and descriptive outputs in Stata. The role involves a high degree of initiative and the ability to communicate effectively with data service providers and university library services.

The position is variable hours, an average of 16 hours per week and fixed term until 31 December 2026. You will be based in Oxford but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.

The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree or be a current doctoral student in a social science discipline, such as Sociology or Social Policy, Demography, Economics, or related discipline with quantitative research experience. They will have excellent written, verbal and data presentation skills.
