We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Education Administrator to join our School of Pharmacy Professional Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator or customer service professional to support the delivery of our taught programmes and contribute to an excellent experience for students and staff.
Working closely with academic colleagues, students and central services, you will provide high-quality administrative support across the student lifecycle, from admissions and registration through to assessment, placements, progression and graduation. You will also support programme administration, timetabling, student records, committees, and quality assurance activities, ensuring processes are delivered efficiently and accurately.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will be confident building positive working relationships, committed to delivering excellent customer service, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, are essential, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
If you are proactive, detail-focused, and keen to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.
To apply, please complete an online application, upload a CV and a cover letter. Your cover letter should be a detailed supporting statement outlining why you are a good fit for the role. Please explain how you meet the essential criteria outlined on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button, and evidence this with examples.
The position is open-ended and offered on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) with an immediate starting date. The role is predominantly campus-based on the City Campus in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are committed to building and maintaining a fair and inclusive working environment and we would be happy to discuss arrangements for flexible and/or blended working.
