We are seeking a technical specialist to support the development of new body measurement methods to assess the health of children. The post is part time: 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE), and will be funded for three years by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) as part of a Future Leaders Fellowship held by Dr. Alice Bullas. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of advanced measurement technologies and data collection processes, supporting high-quality research outputs, participant safety, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will be confident working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, delivering research activities in an inclusive and participant-centred manner.

You will be highly organised and able to support complex research data collection activities, with experience of equipment setup and maintenance, research and health and safety documentation, data management, quality assurance, and troubleshooting of technical issues.

Knowledge and experience of a wide range of relevant human measurement and health data collection techniques would be an advantage; however, please note that training will be provided on the specific methods and equipment used within the research.
