This exciting and varied role plays an important part in delivering effective communications for the Academic Administration Division (AAD), which provides the support and information Oxford students need to thrive in their academic and personal lives.

As Communications Officer, you will contribute to the division’s success through engaging staff and student communications across websites, digital channels, events and publications.

About the Role

You will make a significant contribution to the AAD communications strategy, creating compelling content across a wide range of topics and working with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication between the division and its audiences.

Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager – Students and AAD, you will work with colleagues across the collegiate University, coordinating communications for students and student-facing staff and providing professional communications advice and support.

About You

You will have experience delivering high-quality communications across digital and print channels, with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. You will be able to make complex or sensitive information clear and accessible to non-specialist audiences.

Confident managing web and social media content, you will also have experience producing promotional materials, supporting events and using analytics and feedback to evaluate communications activity.

Highly organised and collaborative, you will manage competing priorities, build productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and provide trusted communications advice. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve ways of working while upholding accessibility, data protection and University brand requirements.
