Senior Teaching Associate (History of Art) (Part Time)

The disciplines of History of Art & Visual Culture are well represented at PACE in thriving undergraduate-level and matriculated postgraduate courses. Students are taught by leading academics and experienced tutors who engage with the latest scholarship. Many students progress on our array of courses, coming back to us because of our focus on the individual and many of these go on to do great things in the field. 

Our in-person activities primarily take place at Madingley Hall (a residential Grade I listed building), which provides facilities for conferences and events, and a full hotel service. Madingley Hall has 13 meeting rooms, 62 ensuite bedrooms, a bar and lounge, set in 8 acres of grounds (including Capability Brown designed gardens). 

The Role 

If you are committed to engaging students from a diverse range of backgrounds in the latest scholarship, this role is for you. You will support the Academic Director in History of Art & Visual culture to deliver an array of courses in the subject, providing an expert voice in Modern and/or Contemporary art. You will have the opportunity to devise and deliver expert content in the area of your expertise and to supervise students in those areas. You will also have the chance to develop existing taught courses and design new ones, contributing to the long-term strategy in the discipline at PACE. 

Your skills 

• PhD in a field relating to Modern and/or Contemporary art
• Experience of writing and delivering research-led lectures and seminars, online and in-person
• Active interest in the latest scholarship in the field, as part of a network of scholars and professionals
• Ability to work flexible hours if needed
• Reliable, collaborative and enthusiastic attitude
