Following the launch of our University Strategy, Our future, together, and the recent publication of our expanded, ambitious and innovative Global Strategy, Cardiff University is embarking on an exciting new phase of global expansion.

We are seeking an exceptional Head of International Partnerships to provide strategic leadership in the development and growth of Cardiff University’s international partnership portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced international partnerships professional to shape our international partnership ambitions, develop high-value relationships with partners around the world, and contribute to the future direction of Cardiff University’s global presence.

This is a significant opportunity to join Cardiff University at an important stage of its international development and to help shape the next chapter of our global ambitions.

The post holder will lead the development and implementation of Cardiff University’s global partnerships strategy. They will coordinate university-wide initiatives, develop high-value strategic relationships and identify new opportunities for international collaboration, enhancing Cardiff’s reputation as a global civic university and a hub of knowledge and innovation in Wales, the UK and the world. 

The postholder will lead the negotiation and development of significant international partnership agreements, working with senior stakeholders across the University and with external partners to ensure that partnerships deliver strategic, financial and reputational value for Cardiff University.

The role will lead a UK-based team and oversee international partnership representatives, currently based in Malaysia, China and India. The postholder will have responsibility for the University’s strategic international partnerships portfolio. 

You will report to the Director of International and be a senior member of the International Office within the Communications and Marketing division.

This post is full-time and open-ended.

Salary: £61,759 - £67,468 per annum (Grade 8)
