Academic Team Lead (MSc Psychology)

Role Overview

CEG Digital wishes to recruit a full-time Academic Team Lead for an online MSc Psychology conversion programme launching in January 2027, delivered in partnership with the University of Southampton and accredited by The British Psychological Society (BPS), subject to approval.  The postholder will help appoint and lead a team of teaching fellows, consultant tutors and consultant supervisors, who together are a consistent presence in the modules to which they are assigned and will be the first point of academic contact for online students. Additionally, the Academic Team Lead will be required to support students through project supervision and personal tutoring and, together with wider stakeholders, have responsibility for the success of the programme overall.  This will include undertaking subject-specific research to inform delivery and engage in promotional activity as well as student-facing community events.  The role will be primarily online on a remote basis, (UK only), with occasional campus and head office visits to engage in offline activities.  

We are looking for individuals with a strong level of academic expertise (including a PhD in Psychology and knowledge of psychological research methods), leadership experience, and online teaching experience with the subject knowledge to deliver across a breadth of psychology topics.

The Programme

In this online Psychology Masters Conversion Programme, students will gain knowledge and understanding of the science of psychology through training in psychological methods and scientific communication across eight core modules (15-credits each), culminating in a Dissertation Project (60 credits) producing novel scientific research. Students will not only develop familiarity with key psychological theories, methods, and findings, but also how to critique and apply them to important real-world issues. Additionally, students will gain practical tools for working ethically and effectively in the international, interconnected, AI-infused workspace of the modern era.
