This appointment comes at a significant phase of development as we expand our allied health provision in healthcare and health science with the introduction of this new role. Our programmes are supported by an active research environment, strong commitment to evidence-informed education, and high-quality clinical suites and laboratories.

The Role

We are recruiting on a fixed term full or part time basis, to join our expanding team. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of our nursing and wider healthcare programmes, with a particular focus on clinical skills and simulation-based learning. Working closely with module and programme leaders, you will assist academic colleagues in preparing and delivering engaging, practice informed learning activities that help students build confidence, competence and readiness for clinical practice.

Key responsibilities will include supporting the design, delivery and evaluation of high quality clinical skills teaching and simulation activities; working with module leaders to develop resources such as lesson plans, case studies, worksheets and demonstration materials; assisting with preparation and assessment of skills competency, including Objective Structured Clinical Examinations; and providing practical clinical skills support to students across agreed modules and sessions.

The successful candidate will be a registered healthcare professional with current NMC or HCPC registration, experience of working in a clinical healthcare setting, and the ability to support learners in developing clinical skills safely and effectively. You will bring strong communication skills, up-to-date clinical knowledge and an enthusiasm for collaborative, innovative and student-centred approaches to clinical skills and simulation education.
