We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Finance and Compliance Officer to join the University’s Research and Innovation (RI) Directorate. The post will report to the Research Funding Manager and work within the Research Support team.
You will provide specialist support for key strategic projects, delivering professional project support to academics and funders throughout the full project lifecycle. This includes ensuring compliance with funding guidelines, maximising grant funding awarded, and supporting projects through to post project closedown. The post holder will provide a high level of expertise and direction to help academics increase and manage funded projects.
You will have significant experience of project administration within the Higher Education and Innovation funding environment, together with demonstrable knowledge of research funding mechanisms and research funding body rules and regulations, including claim and audit submissions.
Educated to degree level or with significant equivalent experience, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work to strict deadlines and meet targets. You will have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and advanced Excel.
