Data Management Lead

About the Role
This post represents an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced Data Manager to work in a registered Clinical Trials Unit with a varied and exciting portfolio of studies.

The post holder will act as the primary data management advisor to Chief Investigators, study teams, and external researchers.

They will also lead the data management of ‘Rapid Assessment and Precision Intervention in Delirium (RAPID)’, an international platform trial, which will require innovative data management and programming solutions.

About You
The post holder will need previous experience in design and development of databases for clinical research studies using electronic data capture systems, experience of preparing data management plans and other study documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also have effective organization and time management skills to work both independently and as part of a team.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to more than 450 staff, 100 PhD students and c500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.

The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM). CEM is a thriving centre that incorporates collaborative units who work to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary strengths. The Centre comprises four units, including two UKCRC registered clinical trials units (CTUs): Barts CTU and the Pragmatic CTU; the Methodology Research Unit; and the Health Economics and Policy Research Unit. The post-holder will contribute to the work of the Barts Clinical Trials Unit.
