We're looking for an exceptional Communications Manager to join our Research Communications and Engagement team and share our world-leading research.
The Role
This will be a pivotal role for amplifying the scale, visibility and impact of our Science and Engineering research activities globally. Working with colleagues across the University, the postholder plays a lead role in shaping and delivering media engagement strategies, spanning research, innovation, and education initiatives, that will enhance the University’s global reputation.
What you’ll do
You will find exceptional stories about the University’s research across Science and Engineering disciplines, articulating the quality and impact of research to the audiences that matter. You will build and maintain effective relationships and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including other communications experts across the University, research partners, and funders.
What we’re looking for
You will have substantial experience in communications craft and practice, ideally with experience working in research and development, and will be able to identify exceptional stories and leverageuse a wide variety of communications opportunities to raise the University’s research profile with a range of specific audiences. You'll be collaborative by instinct, self-driven by nature, and creative in your approach.
