Head of Professional Services

The University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business School is seeking an exceptional Head of Professional Services to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our ambitious 2030 School Strategy.

As the senior professional services leader, the Head of Professional Services will provide strategic leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration, collegiality and continuous improvement. The postholder will ensure that professional services are effectively organised and aligned to the School’s ambitions, empowering colleagues to contribute fully to its success and ensuring services remain responsive to the needs of the School and wider University.

Through this leadership, the postholder will play a key role in translating strategic ambition into effective delivery, advancing the University’s strategic priorities and realising the ambitions of the School’s ASBS 2030 Strategy. You will also play a key role in financial planning, risk management, service improvement and building strong partnerships across the University and with external stakeholders.

We are looking for a collaborative leader with significant senior management experience within a large, complex organisation. You will have a proven track record of leading professional services teams, delivering organisational change, driving continuous improvement and translating strategic priorities into operational outcomes. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement and business planning skills are essential, along with the ability to influence at senior levels and lead through complexity and change.
