The University of Reading is looking to appoint a Student Recruitment Officer to work at the centre of one of the most crucial areas of the University’s activity. Sitting within the Department of Future Students, the team is responsible for the recruitment of UK and International undergraduates and postgraduates and for widening participation.

This role will have responsibility for recruiting UK students to postgraduate taught (PGT) courses, a large and growing area of provision. The role will involve the delivery of effective recruitment activities such as recruitment events and marketing communication plans aimed at encouraging quality postgraduate applications to the University of Reading.

You will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of the UK higher education sector and the student recruitment cycle
  • Experience planning and delivering in-person and/or virtual events, and related communications
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a wide range of people
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload and balance concurrent deadlines
  • Excellent written communication skills, including superb written accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of managing and delivering projects to completion
  • Experience using technical systems including CRM and email / direct messaging systems

A DBS check is required for this position. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
