We have an exciting opportunity for a Podiatrist to join the Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (experience dependent). This is a full-time post, enabling the successful applicant to inspire learning for podiatry students and develop their research and academic profile.

The University of Huddersfield has excellent facilities, which continue to expand with state-of-the-art teaching, research, and clinical facilities in the National Health Innovation Campus. We have a diverse student body and work closely with our education partners and patients through our teaching clinic.

Huddersfield is close to beautiful countryside, with excellent road and rail links to Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield. In 2023, the University achieved the TEF Gold award.

This role is open to Podiatrists interested in educating the future workforce to meet the challenges of service users and service needs. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the podiatry programmes, delivering excellent teaching and learning experiences for students. You will also support practice-based learning through the on-site podiatry clinic.

You will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Podiatrist and have a relevant master's degree or equivalent. You will be a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy or be willing to work towards this within 12 months of appointment.

You will bring experience of training or teaching podiatry within a clinical or higher education setting.
