The University are looking for a Research Associate who will make a leading contribution to EPSRC funded project “Unifying Arithmetic Statistics”.
The successful candidate will be working with Professor Alex Bartel on some of the following themes: arithmetic of number fields, arithmetic of Abelian varieties, rational points on varieties, Galois actions, arithmetic statistics in the widest sense, applications to cryptography, and related topics. They will become part of a team, with other project co-leads based at Bath, King’s College London, and Cambridge. As such, they will participate in, and contribute to the planning of team activities such as conferences, team retreats, hosting distinguished international visitors, etc.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available for up to 3 years in the first instance. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
