About You
This post offers an exciting opportunity for an emerging leader in medical education to take on responsibility for a teaching block as well as contribute to innovation in the wider MBChB curriculum through a variety of development projects.
The academic responsibilities of the post holder includes taking on leadership for Advanced Clinical Cases (ACC), as well as to support teaching delivery and curriculum development within Phase III MBChB (final two years of the curriculum). The appointment is indefinite as Assistant Clinical Professor, with the specific block responsibilities being three years renewable. Appointments are typically made at the entry point of the salary scale, subject to relevant skills and experience.
A programme of personal and professional development will be agreed with successful candidate which will include completion of appropriate leadership and education programmes, alongside mentorship by an experienced clinical educator. If an appropriate Masters Degree in Medical Education is not held at the time of appointment the successful candidate will be eligible for funding towards modules leading to the Warwick MMedEd whilst in post.
It is expected that the post holder will undertake clinical work with a local NHS education Provider (LEP) or a WMS affiliated general practice or similar. Support will be given to applicants from outside the area to explore available options.
