The University of St Andrews is seeking an analytical, curious and highly motivated Information Analyst (Accreditation) to join its Planning Unit, someone who enjoys solving complex problems using data and can communicate findings clearly to a wide range of audiences. This is a unique opportunity to combine data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, project support and strategic insight within a role that directly contributes to the success and reputation of a world-renowned institution.

Working within a collaborative team of analytical professionals, you will play a key role in supporting the Business School's prestigious international accreditation activities, helping to deliver the evidence, reporting and insights required for accreditation frameworks including EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB.

This is far more than a traditional reporting position. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the production of high-quality management information, data analysis, reports and visualisations that support major accreditation activities.
  • Develop and maintain specialist datasets, evidence repositories and data assets that underpin strategic decision-making.
  • Design dashboards and analytical outputs that transform complex information into clear, actionable insight.
  • Work with senior leaders, professional services colleagues and academic staff across the University.
  • Support a diverse portfolio of analytical work spanning student recruitment, league tables, graduate outcomes, equality and diversity, sustainability, finance and institutional performance.

No two days are the same. You'll work on challenges that influence strategic planning, institutional success and the experience of students and staff across the University.

Employees of the University have access to a wide range of staff benefits including:

  • Financial contribution to relocation (subject to eligibility)
  • Membership of the S&LAS Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions
  • A hybrid working environment, including partial homeworking where appropriate and a range of family friendly policies, supporting work-life balance
  • Staff discount scheme for local and national goods and services
  • Free staff parking, employee Carshare and Cycle to Work Schemes and subsidised local bus travel
  • Subsidised sports membership, reduced tuition fees on degree programmes for staff, access to training and development opportunities including LinkedIn Learning, access to library facilities, salary sacrifice scheme
  • 34 Days Annual Leave plus 5 Public Holidays.

This post will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge, a state-of-the-art working environment for professional services units.

Further information and informal enquiries may be directed to Jonathan McDougall Bagnall, email: jmb15@st-andrews.ac.uk.

At St Andrews, equality, diversity, and inclusion are central to who we are and form a core pillar of our University Strategy.
