Are you passionate about developing the future healthcare workforce while making a real difference to communities?
The University of Huddersfield is seeking a Skills Educator to join our award-winning Get Set Goal service. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, student-supported health and wellbeing service that delivers health promotion, wellbeing interventions, health checks, and community outreach activities across West Yorkshire. The service provides high-quality placement opportunities for nursing and allied health professional students while addressing health inequalities within local communities. Since its launch, the service has supported thousands of individuals and continues to expand its reach and impact.
This is more than a job. It is an opportunity to shape the future workforce, improve health outcomes, and contribute to an award-winning model of student-supported healthcare delivery. If you are looking for a role that combines education, service innovation, and community impact, we would love to hear from you.
Working alongside the Clinical Facilitator (Operations Lead) and the wider Get Set Goal team, you will support the day-to-day operational delivery of the service, which may include occasional evening and weekend work. You will supervise and assess students across a variety of community settings and learning environments, while also contributing to health promotion initiatives, wellbeing coaching, health checks, and community engagement programmes.
With a practice Assessor qualification, you will be a registered healthcare professional with a passion for supporting learners and improving health outcomes. You will also hold a full driving licence and be willing to drive the Get Set Goal vehicle to events across West Yorkshire.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a registered healthcare professional with a passion for supporting learners and improving health outcomes.
- Holds a Practice Assessor qualification.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has a strong interest in community health initiatives
- Enjoys working collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries.
- Has an interest in practice learning, student supervision, and student-supported services.
- Can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Holds a full driving licence and is willing to drive the Get Set Goal vehicle to events across West Yorkshire
