CEMH will transform the mental health research landscape in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield (CKW), creating a vibrant, sustainable research community by growing new research talent, strengthening relationships with research-intensive organisations and making CKW more attractive to established researchers, business and funders. It will deliver ‘step change’ in mental health outcomes, particularly for under-served and vulnerable populations in CKW, through a large and varied programme of high-quality research with local, national and international impact.
You will play a pivotal part in supporting the Director, Co-Director and the CEMH Programme Manager in the Centre for Equity in Mental Health. and will demonstrate ownership of knowledge mobilisation activities for the whole of the Centre.
Working closely with senior colleagues to develop and deliver knowledge mobilisation initiatives, you will provide expert advice to researchers and stakeholders, and take responsibility for the impact and effectiveness of engagement activity and dissemination and undertake horizon scanning of the mental health landscape. You will support a diverse portfolio of projects and cross cutting themes and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, with an opportunity to bring creativity to the narrative about the our NIHR Mental Health Research Group (MHRG) and the Centre’s research work-packages and cross-cutting themes.
Educated to degree level in a health or policy related field or with significant equivalent demonstrable experience, you will have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant regional and national policy related to mental health and care and health research and demonstrate evidence of utilising a range of knowledge mobilisation methods and approaches. You should have experience of working with research programmes within Higher Education and/or applied health research infrastructure, or similar institution alongside operational experience of leading knowledge mobilisation and related activities.
