Project Manager, TransCrisis and QUAD

We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to work on the TransCrisis project for two days a week and Quantification, Administrative Capacity and Democracy (QUAD) for one day a week.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of Professor Martin Lodge on the Horizon 2020-funded research project ‘Enhancing the EU’s Transboundary Crisis Management Capacity’ (TransCrisis). The project involves seven partner institutions across EU member states that independently and collaborative explore dimensions of EU crisis management capacity. The successful candidate will support the co-ordination, collaboration and dissemination across the overall project.

S/he will also work under the direction of Dr Andrea Mennicken on the ESRC funded research project QUAD The project is being conducted in collaboration with the Centre de Sociologie de l’Innovation at Mines ParisTech, the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University, the Department of Management Accounting and Control at Helmut-Schmidt University Hamburg and the Institute of Political Science at Leiden University.

Educated to Masters degree level, the successful candidate will have administrative experience, ideally gained within higher education, and previous project management experience with the ability to manage, indirectly, diverse project teams based across Europe. The post holder will need excellent attention to detail and a general IT competence in standard MS Office software and WordPress. S/he will have relevant experience or a demonstrable ease of learning new technologies that will enable them to take responsibility for the efficient delivery of work packages and managing the budget. Equipped with excellent verbal and written communication skills, the post holder will be a natural team-player who thrives on multi-tasking, capable of working with professionalism under pressure and on his/her own initiative.
