IT Infrastructure Project Manager

The main focus of the two year post will be the deployment of a campus wide Voice over IP service and associated technologies, replacing the existing PBX based services. Although the role will be involved in other Infrastructure projects.

The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all elements of the project including the development and management of a detailed project plan; leading of cross functional teams in the delivery of project goals; management of outputs of 3rd party hardware providers and consultants; and management of project activities.

The successful candidate must: 

  • A primary degree or equivalent.
  • A current professional project management qualification e.g. Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing large projects to include:

- Technical implementation and experience of enterprise infrastructure solutions.

- Planning and delivering projects on time and within budget.

- Stakeholder management and project reporting.

- Management of 3rd party suppliers, both internal and external to the organisation.

- Using formal project management techniques to deliver successful projects.

- Leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing people.

Anticipated interview date: Tuesday 1 May 2018

Salary scale: £39,992 - £49,149 per annum (potential to progress to £52,132 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
