The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the University’s Capital Projects Department which carries responsibility for the delivery of the University’s construction and infrastructure projects and programmes, ranging from £50k to £50m plus.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the management of part of a substantial development and refurbishment programme portfolio with a key focus on projects within the University’s residential estate, from initial concept through design, specification, planning, tender preparation and bid evaluation to the supervision of construction, completion and occupation to defined timescales. You will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary design teams on technically complex construction projects and be able to direct the team to achieve the University’s requirements.
You will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, and have proven construction project management and contract administration skills. You will be comfortable in communicating at all levels and have the drive to deliver projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the brief.

You are qualified in a field related to construction/project management and a membership of a recognised professional institution related to construction/project management.
You have significant experience in construction and project management in a similar role, a proven demonstrable ability to deliver construction projects on time, within budget, to the required level of quality and in accordance with the brief.
