We pride ourselves on our strong multidisciplinary ethos and delivery of excellent taught courses. Our cutting-edge research attracts substantial external funding to underpin our research programmes and PhD supervision.  We are committed to delivering outstanding teaching and research that changes lives and society.

The Musculoskeletal Physiology Research Group within the Sport, Health and Performance Enhancement (SHAPE) Research Centre at Nottingham Trent University, is looking to recruit TWO Postgraduate Research Associates (one as a Research Physiotherapist and one as an Exercise Physiologist). Each post will play a principal role in conducting an exercise intervention study in postpartum servicewomen, in support of the Women in Ground Close Combat Review. This research is funded by the Ministry of Defence.

Each post is available for 34 months. Although employment will be with Nottingham Trent University, the posts will be based at the study location with the Army Personnel Research Capability in Surrey/Hampshire. This will mean a requirement for some travel between the sites involved in the project.

The successful applicants will hold a) a physiotherapy qualification and ideally some form of higher degree in a related discipline or b) a PhD in Sport and Exercise Sciences or a related discipline. Ideally the applicants for both posts will have experience of conducting human research trials with a focus on exercise training.
