The Digital Service Engineering Department has an enviable array of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) which is used extensively to help industry partners in the manufacturing sector with their training and maintenance needs. We are looking to extend the mix of AR/VR (MAV Reality) into the education arena.

AR/VR is an emerging technology in the field of education, Cranfield University want to be at the forefront of this development. Our aim is to create an immersive experience for our students that will excite, enthuse and motivate. We believe AR/VR will become a key delivery tool reshaping the landscape of adult education.

You will be expected to develop AR/VR applications to run across multiple devices, support academics and students in development of customer and research projects and to assist the Lab Manager in developing innovative demonstrators to showcase the Lab to industry.

You will be expected to hold a degree (or equivalent) together with relevant experience in the field of AR/AR development. You must be a good communicator who is confident with discussing the development of applications with: educators, academics, students and the wider business community.

The post is initially for 2 years with a potential for additional work as the course portfolio grows. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in AR/VR development.
