Role Summary:

The Department of Applied Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University is looking to make a number of strategic appointments to support planned changes to its undergraduate provision and to support and enhance its developing research and innovation portfolio. 

We are looking to appoint someone who can help develop students’ understanding of how criminal and forensic psychology can be applied in a variety of contexts from a range of perspectives, including social, developmental and cognitive. The post holder will demonstrate a firm commitment to all aspects of learning and teaching, to support students to develop their skills and confidence, as a personal tutor to all levels of undergraduate provision.  The successful candidate will also be able to adopt a range of teaching and learning strategies to enhance students understanding and develop their digital literacy, through the use of blended learning.

The post holder will contribute to modules at all levels, and will help supervise students on placements in forensic contexts.

The successful candidate will be supported in their teaching and research, and will have a developing research profile that is complementary to work within the department.  They will also be able to support workshops and other departmental activities, and will be encouraged and supported to develop their research interests.
