The College of Arts, Humanities and Education has a strong School of Art which delivers a range of Therapeutic Arts programmes in its Therapeutic Arts Discipline. The College is seeking to grow is Therapeutic Arts Discipline to build on its strong and diverse programmes.

The Therapeutic Arts team is formed of a group of expert practitioners and academics delivering a range of four post-graduate accredited therapy programmes, Art therapy, Dramatherapy, Music therapy and Dance Movement Psychotherapy. Our focus is on the students, their learning, and their practical experience in comprehensive placements.
About the role
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Lecturer to lead the MA Music Therapy Programme. You will be responsible for the academic quality and smooth operation of the programme, ensuring that the standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council, as the professional regulatory body, are met and maintained, confirming this through internal and external annual monitoring and audit processes.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Discipline and Head of School to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the Music Therapy programme in accordance with the University’s strategic objectives to provide an exceptional student experience.
About You
Demonstrating a passion for enthusing and inspiring our students and professional trainees, you will oversee innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials that provide high quality, accessible learning opportunities. Ensure that curriculum development, quality management and enhancement comply with required standards. The successful applicant will also have oversight of placement opportunities for the programme.
This academic role will also see you engage in research that influences practice, informs and inspires a research-led curriculum and contributes to subject expertise with national and international impact.
This is a part-time position, with a fixed term contract until 01/02/2025.
