The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Student Experience Assistant. The successful applicant will be a self-starter, a genuine team player and someone with the drive, determination and resilience needed to help us to build this revolutionary new organisation from the ground up; an individual who essentially embodies the ethos and core principles of UA92 (which apply to our employees as much as they do to our students).

Reporting to the Head of Registry and Quality, you will:

• Be a key member of the student administration team assisting with the provision of administrative and operational support on all end-to-end student lifecycle matters including:
  • Admissions;
  • Registry;
  • Student well-being and support;
  • Careers and employability;
  • Library;
  • Learning support;
  • Academic matters.
• Provide student facing advice and support: identify student’s needs; offer immediate information and advice; or signpost to other external services or internal specialists.
• Work collaboratively with academic and professional service staff providing support to and covering for colleagues within the Student Affairs and wider UA92 team, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective administrative support services at all times. 
• Support the development and implementation of administrative systems, processes, policies and procedures, as required. 

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills including the ability to interact successfully with a wide range of people, both face-to-face and on the phone.
• Experience of working in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
• A clear passion for and a desire to provide an outstanding student/customer experience.
• Willingness and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent IT skills including experience of data inputting, of interrogating databases, systems and information and the use of a variety of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week. However, due to the nature of the post, you will be expected to work flexibly. Consideration will be given to applications for part time or flexible working, subject to business needs.
