The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides a number of essential services to Durham University and are responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric across the estate.

It is an exciting time to join the team, as we are currently in Phase One of a three-phase programme, running until 2027, to deliver a new estate; supporting the University’s overarching strategy, with the design and construction of new teaching, leisure and accommodation facilities, alongside the repair and refurbishments to the existing infrastructure and buildings.

The Senior Property Asset Manager will provide the professional, strategic lead for the management of the University’s property/asset portfolio. The post-holder will provide strategic advice to the University’s Senior Leadership Team and lead on complex contract negotiations with key external partners. They will be responsible for ensuring valuations, investments, property lettings, operational reviews and investment appraisals are undertaken.

The post-holder will support the Director of Estates and Facilities and Senior Space Manager in the production of an Estates Strategy consistent with the University-wide strategic objectives.
