Salaries: £11,838 p.a. or £6.13 per hour (aged 18 - 21)
£14,860 p.a. or £7.70 per hour (aged 21 - 24)
£15,796 p.a. or £8.21 per hour (aged 25 and above)

This position is based in the SAgE faculty, but over the 40 month period the IT apprentice will work across the IT Service to learn and develop all of the relevant IT skills and knowledge to give them the capability to provide technical support across a variety of areas. Soft skills will be developed during this period to help strengthen skills such as communication. You should have a genuine desire to learn and develop in an IT based role.

It may involve working with staff regarding teaching, research or administration. Also working with students, supporting teaching spaces and student projects. 

During term time, the trainee will spend 1 day a week on day release at a local training provider to pursue the academic aspects of the apprenticeship until attained to an appropriate level. Outside of term time the trainee would spend 1 day per week training within the University.
