The Language Centre at the University of Bradford is looking for an experienced English for Academic Purposes teacher to deliver teaching on our foundation, insessional and presessional programmes. You will work in a small, dynamic team and will have the flexibility and skills to contribute to the development of a range of programmes. You will work primarily on the delivery and development of our English language and academic skills programmes and you will have excellent teaching, communication and team-working skills. You will also have the ability and enthusiasm to oversee a programme/administrative/technical area, if required, taking responsibility for quality assurance, enhancement and effective communication within the team and with university stakeholders.

The Language Centre is an academic department located within Student and Academic Services, devoted, primarily, to the delivery of English for Academic Purposes. We support the University strategy by providing needs-focused education in English language and academic skills to enable proficiency in the discourses and practices of our students' academic discipline.
Our Centre works collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to constantly develop innovative, needs-focused and authentic programmes. Our philosophy is to constantly reflect and innovate in response to changing market conditions and educational trends, and to findings uncovered from experiential, scholarly and action research and stakeholder feedback.
We maintain the highest standard of curriculum design and delivery by focusing on individual needs and pastoral care and through engagement with professional development and scholarly activity.
The Language Centre delivers EAP modules for the Certificate of International Foundation Studies and has a range of presessional programmes. Insessional support is provided in the form of courses, workshops, one-to-ones and a variety of online options. We run a university wide languages programme and also support recruitment through providing English language assessment.
The Language Centre is British Council accredited.
Please note that this is a part-time role of 18.13 hours per week only.
